Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong met with President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday in Islamabad.
During their meeting, the two sides discussed key bilateral matters, with special attention to the recent developments between Pakistan and India following the Pahalgam incident.
President Zardari voiced concern over India’s recent provocative and hostile statements, warning that such conduct poses a threat to peace and stability across the region.
Ambassador Jiang reaffirmed the strong and enduring China-Pakistan friendship, calling the two countries “iron brothers” who have consistently supported one another through difficult times.
He thanked President Zardari for presenting Pakistan’s viewpoint and assured that China would continue backing Pakistan in their shared pursuit of regional peace and stability.
President Zardari expressed sincere thanks to the Chinese leadership for its unwavering and long-standing support, especially during times of adversity.
