The Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command carried out its regular patrol operations in the South China Sea on Tuesday, according to an official spokesperson.
Spokesperson Tian Junli accused the Philippines of frequently stirring up maritime tensions and partnering with external nations to conduct so-called “joint patrols.”
He noted that China’s naval and air units from the Southern Theater Command continuously monitored and closely followed these maneuvers.
Tian stressed that the forces remain on high alert and are firmly committed to defending China’s territorial claims and maritime interests, while working to maintain peace and stability in the region.
