The initial group of 300 young agricultural trainees selected under the Pakistani Prime Minister’s program for agricultural training reached Xi’an in China’s Shaanxi province on Wednesday.
These individuals will take part in a three-month practical training program focused on agricultural technologies, climate-smart farming, and modern cultivation techniques. The training will be held at two prominent Chinese institutions – Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (NWAFU) and Yangling Vocational and Technical College.
At Xi’an International Airport, the trainees were welcomed by Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Deputy Head of Mission at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, along with senior Chinese representatives. After their arrival, they were given an orientation on the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the goals of the training program, and the growing scope of agricultural collaboration between the two countries.
This training initiative is part of Pakistan’s wider strategy to revamp its agricultural sector and empower the next generation of professionals with the expertise needed to tackle upcoming agricultural challenges.
