The 10th Pakistan Footwear Material and Machinery Show (PFMMS 2025) underscored the growing industrial collaboration between China and Pakistan, with industry stakeholders stressing that the fusion of Chinese innovation and Pakistani skilled craftsmanship is accelerating the expansion of the footwear industry.
The event took place from April 11 to 13 in Lahore and was organized by the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association (PFMA). It brought together over 250 exhibitors from more than ten countries, including Italy and Vietnam. The China Pavilion was a major highlight, displaying advanced automation equipment and sustainable material technologies, supported by the presence of over 100 Chinese firms and 180 experts.
The event spotlighted the strengthening ties between the Chinese and Pakistani footwear sectors, with government representatives and business leaders emphasizing that the integration of China’s advanced tech with Pakistan’s traditional shoemaking skills is opening up promising avenues for joint development.
