China has officially declared the addition of 12 American companies to its export control list, a move announced on Wednesday.
Starting from 12:01 p.m. on April 10, these firms—such as American Photonics, Novotech, Inc., and Echodyne—will be banned from receiving dual-use items from China, and any current exports to them must be halted immediately, according to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce.
The nine other affected firms include Marvin Engineering Company, Exovera, Teledyne Brown Engineering, BRINC Drones, SYNEXXUS, Firestorm Labs, Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Domo Tactical Communications, and Insitu.
In instances where export is considered essential, companies must apply for and receive official permission before proceeding.
This action was taken under China’s existing legal and regulatory framework, and the spokesperson emphasized that no exporter will be permitted to bypass these rules.
