Tongwei Partners with Pakistan for 650 MW Solar Expansion highlighting the shift towards green energy transition.
Tongwei Group has recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with three Pakistani companies, Perfect Services, Nimir Energy, and Mateen Sons, for the supply of 650 MW of solar modules. This partnership highlights the efficiency of Tongwei’s TNC-G12/G12R solar modules, reinforcing its presence in the renewable energy sector.
As per the International Renewable Energy Agency, Pakistan enjoys over 3,000 hours of sunlight annually, making it an ideal location for solar energy production. However, the country has traditionally relied on thermal and hydroelectric power, which together account for nearly half of its energy mix. This dependency has led to energy shortages and environmental concerns.
The Pakistani companies involved in this agreement have substantial experience in solar project development, investment, and operations. Their collaboration with Tongwei for the 650 MW solar module supply underscores their recognition of Tongwei’s leadership in the global solar industry and their trust in the quality and technological excellence of Chinese solar products.
Given Pakistan’s extreme weather conditions—marked by intense solar radiation and temperature variations—solar modules must exhibit strong heat resistance and long-term durability. Tongwei, leveraging its advanced research and development capabilities, has designed customized solutions to meet the country’s specific needs.
The TNC-G12/G12R high-efficiency solar modules have been engineered to overcome technological challenges posed by Pakistan’s plateau climate. These modules have passed rigorous UV120 and UV300 testing, proving their exceptional UV resistance and long-term reliability in harsh environmental conditions.
