China’s highest political advisory body, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, commenced its annual session on Tuesday in Beijing.
President Xi Jinping, along with other national leaders, participated in the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee which commenced at 3 p.m. at the Great Hall of the People.
During the session, participants reviewed and approved the proposed agenda, setting the course for discussions and deliberations.
Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presented a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee, summarizing the committee’s key achievements and outlining future objectives.
