China honors women leaders on International Women’s Day as a special ceremony was held on Friday.
The All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) organized a special event on Friday to commemorate International Women’s Day, observed annually on March 8, and to recognize outstanding female role models from across the country.
Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin, who also serves as the president of the ACWF, delivered a speech at the ceremony, extending her greetings to women from various sectors and ethnic backgrounds. She also congratulated the award recipients for their contributions.
During the event, a total of 606 exceptional individuals and 994 groups were honored for their achievements.
In her speech, Shen emphasized the crucial role of women in advancing Chinese modernization. She also encouraged deeper international cooperation to highlight China’s commitment to promoting women’s development globally and fostering a shared future for humanity.
