Chinese humanoid robot performs a front flip stunt with accurate precision garnering widespread attention on social media platforms.
A humanoid robot developed by the Chinese company EngineAI performed a front flip stunt in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on Sunday, demonstrating advanced robotic capabilities.
EngineAI successfully programmed the robot to calculate dynamic balance and instantaneous acceleration, ensuring stability during the flip and a smooth landing.
This demonstration emphasized that beyond walking gracefully, the robot also possesses high-speed dynamic movement capabilities.
Unlike backflips, front flips require even greater balance, acceleration control, and precision in landing. This maneuver serves as a stronger showcase of the robot’s hardware potential and the expertise of its algorithm development team compared to simple running demonstrations.
Founded in 2023 in Shenzhen, EngineAI focuses on general-purpose AI robotics and industry-specific applications.
China’s robotics industry is growing rapidly. According to a report released at the 2024 World AI Conference in Shanghai, China’s humanoid robot market was valued at approximately 2.76 billion yuan (around 385 million U.S. dollars) in 2024.
The market is projected to expand significantly, reaching 75 billion yuan by 2029, which would represent 32.7 percent of the global market share.
