China reinforces its role in resolution of Ukraine crisis as China’s stance remains consistent and transparent.
China remains committed to facilitating a political resolution to the Ukraine crisis, reaffirmed Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Monday.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Lin responded to a question about whether China had any new initiatives following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s appeal for China’s support in restoring peace and reconstruction during a Sunday press conference.
Lin emphasized that China’s stance on the Ukraine crisis has been consistent and transparent. Since the conflict escalated, Beijing has engaged in dialogue with all relevant parties, aiming to build consensus for a ceasefire and promote peace negotiations.
He further stated that China will continue to uphold a neutral and fair stance, working with the global community to contribute constructively toward a political resolution of the crisis.
