Pakistan, MIGA strengthen investment cooperation during a meeting chaired by Minister for Finance, Muhammad Aurangzeb.
Pakistan remains dedicated to creating a favorable investment environment and strengthening its partnership with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) to drive economic and financial sector growth, as it holds the distinction of being MIGA’s first destination in Asia.
This commitment was reaffirmed by Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, during a meeting with a delegation from MIGA at the Finance Division.
The delegation outlined MIGA’s role in providing short-term credit guarantees, which align with the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) efforts to enhance private sector development, as stated in an official press release.
They emphasized their organization’s continued support for Pakistan’s financial institutions and capital markets, expressing confidence in the country’s economic potential.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to maintain close coordination moving forward.
