BALOCHISTAN – Bomb Explosion targets Miners’ Vehicle in Harnai: eleven dead, several injured as reported.
At least 11 people lost their lives, and seven others sustained injuries in a deadly improvised explosive device (IED) blast targeting a vehicle transporting miners in Shahrag tehsil, Harnai district, Balochistan, according to local media reports on Friday.
The powerful explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing several individuals instantly. Reports suggest that Levies personnel were the intended targets, but multiple civilians also lost their lives. The injured and deceased were taken to the hospital as authorities continued their investigation. Balochistan, alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has witnessed a rise in terrorist attacks, raising security concerns and highlighting the growing influence of militant groups in the region.
Law enforcement agencies are actively working to identify those behind the attack. Meanwhile, the government has urged the interim Afghan administration to take immediate action against militant groups operating within Afghanistan, as they have been linked to the surge in violence in Pakistan.
This attack follows a recent bombing incident in which a police officer was injured when a blast targeted a police vehicle on Quetta’s Western Bypass.
This remains a developing story, with more details expected to emerge soon.
