Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, held a meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Zhao noted that bilateral relations between China and Kyrgyzstan are currently at their strongest, with significant achievements in various sectors, largely due to the strategic leadership of both countries’ heads of state.
He emphasized China’s commitment to working with Kyrgyzstan in building a community of shared future based on good-neighborly ties and mutual prosperity. Zhao also expressed the NPC’s willingness to enhance friendly exchanges with the Kyrgyz parliament, strengthen legal frameworks for cooperation, and further advance bilateral relations.
Japarov, in response, praised the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity and acknowledged the importance of China’s three major global initiatives—the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative.
He reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to mutual support with China on key national interests, focusing on high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, expanding collaboration in multiple sectors, and fostering closer legislative exchanges between the two countries.
