Government approves National Policy on Countering Violent Extremism aimed at a more peaceful region.
The Federal Government has given formal approval to the National Policy on Countering Violent Extremism, which was developed by the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
This announcement was made by Dr. Khalid Chauhan, Member Prevention of Violent Extremism and Director General (R&D) at NACTA, during a National Dialogue on Countering Violent Extremism held in Islamabad on Friday.
Dr. Chauhan emphasized that the approval of this policy demonstrates the government’s firm dedication to eradicating extremism. He added that its effective implementation would pave the way for a more peaceful society for future generations.
