Xi extends Spring Festival greetings to retired officials who in turn expressed support for his leadership.
President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders visited or delegated others to visit retired senior officials to convey their best wishes ahead of this year’s Spring Festival, which falls on January 29.
Xi, who serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, joined other leaders in wishing the retired officials a joyful Spring Festival, along with good health and long life.
The retired officials commended the CPC Central Committee’s achievements over the past year and expressed strong support for Xi’s central leadership role within the CPC and the Party as a whole.
They also expressed their hope for greater unity among the Party, the military, and people of all ethnic groups under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, with Xi at its core, to strengthen the nation and achieve national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.
