China-U.S. economic cooperation mutually beneficial: FM Spokesperson addressed trade concerns on Friday.
A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson stated on Friday that China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation is mutually beneficial and that China does not intentionally aim for a trade surplus.
The spokesperson, Mao Ning, made these comments in reply to U.S. calls for a more balanced trade relationship with China.
Mao emphasized that despite the differences and tensions between the two countries, there are significant shared interests and cooperation potential, providing an opportunity for both sides to engage in dialogue and consultations.
In response to U.S. statements regarding tariffs on China, Mao highlighted that no one wins in a trade war or tariff dispute. Such conflicts are not in the interest of any party and do not benefit the global economy.
