Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged young artists to ensure that traditional Peking Opera remains vibrant and relevant in modern times.
In a reply letter to the young artists of China’s National Peking Opera Company, Xi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, shared his perspective on the art form’s future.
Xi encouraged the artists to uphold moral integrity and artistic brilliance, while staying faithful to traditional practices and welcoming innovation to adapt to the changing times.
