Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya has been invited to visit China on Wednesday, as announced by Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Tuesday.
Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and China’s foreign minister, is scheduled to hold discussions with Iwaya.
Both ministers will participate in the second meeting of the high-level consultation mechanism focused on fostering people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Japan, Mao added.
