China Consulate General hosts Friendship Award 2024 Ceremony in Lahore, where Zhao Shiren emphasized that year 2025 would mark new beginnings.
On December 22nd, Chinese Consul General in Lahore, Zhao Shiren, presented the prestigious “China Consulate General Friendship Award 2024” to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during a ceremony held at a local hotel.
In addition to Minister Naqvi, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and 18 other notable individuals were also recognized with the award for their significant contributions to strengthening Pakistan-China relations.
In his address, Consul General Zhao Shiren highlighted that 2025 would mark the beginning of a renewed chapter in Pakistan-China relations, aimed at further enhancing their partnership to unprecedented levels.
“We envision a bright future in nation-building and socioeconomic progress. However, much work remains to be done. We need to intensify efforts to implement CPEC projects and focus on building a closer, stronger community of shared destiny between our two nations,” Zhao emphasized.
Zhao also reflected on the stability and vitality of Pakistan-China relations, which have gained fresh momentum following key diplomatic exchanges, including Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s visit to Pakistan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China in October and June, respectively. He also acknowledged the successful visit of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to China, underscoring the enduring strength and vibrancy of the bilateral relationship.
