Ahsan Iqbal Commends Role of Energy China in Advancing Pakistan’s Sustainable Energy Future to strengthen energy infrastructure.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has commended Energy China’s significant contribution to Pakistan’s energy sector, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Azad Pattan Hydro Power Project. In a meeting with Energy China International Group’s General Manager Wang Huihua, it was revealed that the company has successfully completed 21 mega infrastructure projects in Pakistan, valued at over 12 billion USD. The most notable ventures include the Azad Pattan Hydro Power Project (700 megawatts) and the Sukki Kinari Project (870 megawatts), with a combined investment of 3.5 billion USD.
The Azad Pattan Hydro Power Project represents a model of bilateral cooperation and sustainable development. As Ahsan Iqbal highlighted, the project underscores the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and China, rooted in shared goals of energy security and economic growth.
