Pakistan toys association signs MoU with Chinese counterpart, Shantou Chenghai Toys Association to enhance cooperation.
The All-Pakistan Toys Traders Association and the Shantou Chenghai Toys Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the toy industry and create a friendship association during the 23rd China Shantou (Chenghai) International Toys & Gifts Fair on Friday.
Sardar Muhammad, the Acting Consul General at Pakistan’s Consulate General in Guangzhou, attended the MoU signing ceremony. The agreement aimed to establish a friendship association between the All Pakistan Toys Traders Association and Shantou Chenghai Toys Association. During the event, Sardar also held productive discussions with the Chenghai Toys Association’s leadership, including Vice President Chen Liang, to foster trade relations between Pakistan and China.
For the first time, Pakistan participated in the fair with a 90-square-meter booth showcasing an array of Pakistani gift items, such as traditional wooden and stone handicrafts and handstitched footballs. These impressive exhibits attracted many visitors, making the Pakistani Pavilion one of the event’s highlights.
After the MoU signing, the Acting Consul General presented a unique hand-stitched football from Pakistan as a tribute to the 73-year friendship between Pakistan and China, underscoring Pakistan’s global reputation for high-quality footballs. He emphasized that Pakistan, as the world’s fifth-largest market with over 64% of its population under 29, offers significant investment potential in the toys and gifts sectors.
Moreover, the Acting Consul General encouraged stakeholders to leverage Pakistan’s strategic advantages, inviting investors to visit the country to experience its investment-friendly environment and explore opportunities for setting up production facilities in Pakistan.
