Pakistan’s exports to China up by 33.67% in FY 2023-24 as per the data revealed by the State Bank of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to China increased by 33.67 percent during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Total exports to China reached $2.707 billion for the period from July to June, up from $2.025 billion the year before.
Year-over-year, exports to China grew by 12.59 percent, rising from $136.546 million in June 2023 to $153.745 million in June 2024.
However, on a month-to-month basis, exports to China fell by 27.61 percent in June 2024 compared to $212.392 million in May 2024.
Overall, Pakistan’s exports to other countries rose by 11.53 percent in FY 2023-24, increasing from $27.875 billion to $31.090 billion.
Conversely, imports from China during the same period surged by 39.78 percent, reaching $13.506 billion compared to $9.662 billion last year. Year-on-year, imports from China grew dramatically by 117.54 percent, from $623.832 million in June 2023 to $1.357 billion in June 2024.
On a month-to-month basis, imports from China decreased by 9.58 percent in June 2024 compared to $1.501 billion in May 2024.
Overall, Pakistan’s total imports increased by 0.89 percent, rising from $52.695 billion to $53.167 billion.
