Terrorists tried to breach the cantonment by detonating an explosive-laden vehicle along the road near the outer wall and supply depot. Swift action by security forces prevented the terrorists from carrying out their plans as per the official statement. It said the suicide blast caused a portion of the wall to collapse and damaged the adjoining infrastructure.
