Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that work on the five corridors will start in the upgraded version of CPEC.
Expressing his views in a TV programme, the minister maintained that the first corridor would be a ‘corridor of growth’ to bring rapid economic development, while the second corridor would be a ‘corridor of livelihood’ to eradicate poverty.
Talking about the third corridor, which he called the ‘corridor of innovation’, will be on artificial intelligence while the fourth one will deal with ‘green economy’. Iqbal said benefits of CPEC will be shared with other regional countries to include them in the project under the last corridor of ‘regional development’.
