The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) is accelerating the construction of the 500 kV Suki Kinari transmission line to meet its target completion date, despite facing adverse weather and challenging terrain.
Construction activities remain largely uninterrupted, and stringing work has recently commenced. The 75-kilometer-long double-circuit transmission line is a crucial component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and is designed to integrate 884 MW of clean energy from the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project into the National Grid.
This project will bolster the NTDC’s transmission network, foster regional industrialization, generate job opportunities, and enhance the country’s socio-economic conditions. NTDC’s Managing Director, Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, commended the team’s efforts and emphasized the importance of meeting project deadlines.
