Security forces and law enforcement agencies have successfully eliminated 23 terrorists in Balochistan within the past 24 hours, thwarting attempts to disturb regional stability. However, the operations also resulted in the martyrdom of 18 Pakistani soldiers, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the night between January 31 and February 1, terrorists attempted to set up roadblocks in the Mangocher area of Kalat District. The attack was reportedly orchestrated at the behest of hostile elements with the intention of disrupting Balochistan’s peace by targeting innocent civilians.
Acting swiftly, security forces engaged the attackers, neutralizing twelve militants and preventing further casualties.
According to the ISPR, follow-up operations were conducted across Balochistan, including in Harnai District, where an additional eleven militants were killed.
Several terrorist hideouts were also dismantled as part of these counterterrorism efforts.
The ISPR affirmed that ongoing sanitization operations are in place to ensure that the perpetrators and their facilitators are brought to justice.
