By the end of its second phase on Sunday, the 137th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, had attracted 224,372 overseas buyers from 219 countries and regions, as reported by the China Foreign Trade Centre.
The second phase, which began on Wednesday and focused on quality home furnishings, covered a total exhibition area of 515,000 square meters. It featured 24,735 booths and 10,313 exhibitors, marking an increase of 273 compared to the previous session.
Among the exhibitors in this phase, more than 2,400 are recognized as national-level high-tech enterprises, “little giants,” or national single champions in manufacturing. This number represents an increase of 100 companies from the same period last year.
Held in Guangzhou, the southern Chinese metropolis, from April 15 to May 5, this edition of the fair is divided into three themed phases. The first phase highlighted advanced manufacturing, the second focused on quality home furnishings, and the third will showcase products promoting a better quality of life.
