A 10-member Gwadar Delegation has left Islamabad for Beijing, on Sunday (September 10th).
Before the departure, the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Islamabad held an orientation session with the delegation apprising them of the essence of tour, elaborate visits plan and meetings schedule.
The 10-day trip for officials, academics, notables and administrators of Gwadar is part of series of people to people contact and cultural exchange program. The delegation will visit two Chinese cities – Beijing and Shenzhen. The objective of the visit is to help the visiting dignitaries gain a deeper understanding of China-Pakistan relationship and promote inter-cultural and inter-linguistic interactions.
Among the delegates include Vice Chancellor of University of Gwadar Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, District Education Officer Munir Ahmed, Gwadar Army Public School Principal Sarwat Ashfaq, GDA Public School Principal Shahina Shaukat, China-Pakistan Government Girls Middle School Principal Parveen Nawaz, Gwadar Municipal Committee Chairman Muhammad Sharif, senior member of Gwadar’s legal fraternity Miraj Ali, local politician Baboo Ghulab, Gwadar Chamber of Commerce President Shams ul Haq and GPA official Abdul Manan.
